The West Yellowstone School District will be holding a mail ballot election on May 7, 2019.  Mail ballots will be mailed, in there entirety, on one date to be determined between April 17, 2019 through April 22, 2019. 

The Board of Trustees for the West Yellowstone School District No. 69, of Gallatin County, State of Montana, will hold the Annual Regular School Election by mail ballot on Tuesday, the 7th day of May, 2019. Voting will end at 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. The designated place of deposit will be located at Election Offices, 311 West Main, Room 210, Bozeman, MT 59715. The purpose of the election is to: Elect one (1) trustee for a three-year term, or as otherwise designated.  If it is later determined that any portion of the election is not required, the Board of Trustees authorizes Eric Semerad, Gallatin County Election Administrator, to cancel that portion of the election in accordance with 13-1-304 and 20-3-313, MCA.

     Serving on a School Board is a volunteer position and is a commitment to the future of the students of the West Yellowstone School District.  School Board members are involved with making decisions that impact the way a district operates, including setting achievement goals, adopting policies and annual budgets, managing the collective bargaining process and holding schools accountable to state and OPI laws.  A Declaration of Intent and Oath of Candidacy for Trustee Candidates can be picked up in the West Yellowstone School Office for anyone interested in running for Trustee positions.  You must be a registered voter in the West Yellowstone School District.  All Oaths of candidacy must be turned in to the District Clerk at the West Yellowstone School Office no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2019.
