Semester Finals

January 3rd, 2017

Dear Wolverine Parent/Guardian

Final exams for first semester students will be held from January 11, 2017 through January 17,

2017. All 9-12 students will take their final exams in all classes that end in January. For yearlong classes, the students will take a midterm exam. Both of these exams will count as 10-20% of the students’ grades.

The testing schedule is as follows:

 Wednesday, Jan. 11 – 1st and 3rd periods

Thursday, Jan. 12 – 1st and 3rd periods

Friday, Jan. 13 – 2nd and 4th periods

Monday, Jan. 16 – 2nd and 4th periods

Tuesday, Jan. 17 – 5th period

If students miss an exam, they will be required to make up the exam at some point before the 17th of January.

We wish all students great success on their exams and we recommend that students get a good

night’s sleep before each of their tests and eat breakfast before coming to school. Please try to arrive

on time during the exams as tardiness could affect the student’s ability to take their exam on that day.

If you have any questions regarding the exam schedule, please contact me at the school.

Thank you!

Brian Smith, Principal

P.M. Remediation

Greetings West Yellowstone Family!

As part of our on-going commitment to students the school will be instituting some after-school remediation for 6-12 students who are showing grades of a D or F for three consectutive weeks. Teachers shall be required to make contact with parents and inform them of the PM Remediation. I will in turn follow up with a letter and schedule of your child's assigned time and days. Students will be immediately removed from PM Remediation upon a grade raise to a C- or better.

This time is also available for students to get help in classes from teachers. The times will generally be from 3:15-3:45 p.m.

As always, if you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the school.

Mr. Smith
